Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, has said it is worrying to have declining economy. His party was however active to restore economic activities, he asserted.

Addressing a gathering of active cadres at Phidim on Saturday, Chairman Oli reminded that it was not an ordinary problem to have the government unable to provide salary to its employees. So, time has come to restore robust national economy, he added.

According to him, ineffective implementation of law has caused political instability, anarchy and lawlessness. He also viewed social values were eroding.

He urged the party cadres and organizations to be disciplined. Party organization is needed not only to win election, but to run the country. Idle participation in organization is not good, the Chairman reminded.

Moreover, leader Oli said work must not be disrespected. The cadres must be linked to work and production so that the country would be made self-reliant in agricultural products. He also recalled that the government he led had forwarded the national ambition of 'prosperous Nepal: happy Nepali' to end poverty and ensure development infrastructures.

Indicating the protest against naming of Province-1 as Koshi Province, he said the people's mandate could rename the province as we were in a democratic system. Objecting good works does not help identity politics, he reminded.

On the occasion, Vice Chairman of the party Subash Chandra Nembang viewed adoption of democratic measure could easily address the grievances and dissent.
