State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali today said that people of the world knew Bangladesh in the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
"Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are the same entity. Therefore, the 'country brand name' has been selected as "Mujib's Bangladesh" to highlight the tourism of Bangladesh in front of the world," he said.
He was speaking at the publication ceremony of a memorial book at a city hotel, a press release said.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has published the memorial book titled "Mujib er Bangladesh", the release added.
The state minister also said that Bangabandhu prepared the Bengali nation for the country's independence step by step by leading every stage of the movements.
"He not only led but also prepared the nation to lead in the battlefield," he added.
With Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Mokammel Hossain in the chair, the event was attended, among others, by Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee as the main discussant
