Dhaka: Water levels at 97 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked a rise, while 17 stations recorded a fall. Among the 116 monitored river stations, water levels at two stations have remained steady, and all rivers are flowing below the danger level, according to a bulletin issued by the FFWC today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the water levels of all major rivers are flowing below the danger level. The bulletin added that the water level of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers is decreasing, which may continue for the next five days, maintaining levels below the danger mark.
The Ganges river’s water level is also decreasing, with this trend expected to continue for the next day and remain stable over the following four days. Similarly, the Padma river’s water levels are decreasing and may continue to do so for the next five days, staying below the danger level throughout.
Additionally, the water levels of the Surma and Kushiyara rivers are on a decreasing trend, anticipated to continue for the next three days, keeping below the danger threshold.
