A van driver was electrocuted to death at Madhya Bazar area of Haziganj upazila in Chandpur district on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased Abdul Motin, 52, a resident of Randhunimura village in Hajiganj municipality.
Motin got an electric shock while removing an old signboard of a shoe shop from the third floor of Haziganj Madhya Bazar town, said Zobayer Sayed, officer-in-charge of Hajiganj police station.
He was rushed to Hajiganj Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
On information, police recovered the body. Legal procedures are being taken in this regard, the OC added.
