Country's private carrier US BANGLA is set to fly to Kolkata, the third international destinations, tomorrow towards expanding its footprint in the region.
"The carrier would operate both way flights from Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka every day in a week with its newly added 158 passengers capacity Boeing 737-800 aircraft," US BANGLA revealed it today in a media statement.
Return promotional fare for Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka at economy class will start at Taka 9,999 while one way at Taka 5,999. All taxes and surcharge are included with the fare.
One way business class fare has been fixed at Taka 15,535 while return fare at Taka 25,534 with all taxes and surcharges.
The flight departure from Dhaka will be at 11.40 am and will arrive at Kolkata at 12 noon (Local Time) while departure time from Kolkata at 12.50 pm (Local Time) and will arrive in Dhaka at 2pm.
US BANGLA has planned to start operation to Kolkata, Bhutan, Guangzhou of China, Singapore, Bangkok, Kualalampur and Doha gradually.
The carrier started inaugural flight with the motto "fly fast-fly safe" on July 17, 2014 by operating in Dhaka-Jessore route. The airline has so far successfully operated over 17,500 flights in all the domestic, Dhaka-Kathmandu and Dhaka-Muscat routes.
With new aircraft, the total number of US BANGLA fleet rose to five, of which two is Boeing 737-800 while another three is Dash Q8-400.
Boeing 737-800 aircraft has 158 revenue seats each including 8 business class while the remaining is premium economy and economy class and Dash8 Q400 aircraft has 76 seats each. Boeing 737-800 aircraft will posses 4 lavatory to facilitate the passengers' comfort.
