U-19 cricket: Bangladesh, Pakistan T20 series ends in a draw

The two-match T20 series between Bangladesh and Pakistan U-19 teams ended with both teams winning a match each.

 

Bangladesh won the first match of the series but lost the second one Friday by seven wickets.

 

Meanwhile, the solitary four-day match was drawn. And Bangladesh won the three-match 45-over series 2-1.

 

Arafat Minhas and Saad Baig hit a fifty each for Pakistan at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan’s Punjab.

 

Bangladesh batted first and scored 163. Opening batter Jishan Alam top-scored a 40-ball 73, hitting nine fours and two sixes. Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan scored 29 off 28 balls, which included two fours and one six.

 

For Pakistan, left-arm spinner Ali Asfand bagged three wickets and Mohammad Ibtisam took two wickets.

 

“Beating Pakistan in Pakistan is right up there in terms of job satisfaction,” Wasim Jaffer, Bangladesh coach, wrote on his Twitter. “Proud of the boys on winning the ODI series 2-1, drawing the T20 series 1-1, and batting over a day to draw the only Test.”
