U-14 Cricket: Chandpur emerge Ctg Div champions beating Khagrachhari by 30 runs

Chandpur U-14 Cricket team emerged Chattogram Divisional champions in the Young Tigers U-14 one-day cricket Tournament with a 30-run victory over Khagrachhari U-14 side in the final at the Women’s Complex ground in Chattogram on Wednesday.

 

Former Chittaging City Mayor and BCB director AJM Nasiruddin witnessed the final as chief guest and later he distributed the prizes.

Favored by coin in the dayโ€™s final, Chandpur batted first and were all out for 115 in 47.4 overs with wicket keeper cum middle order batter Sayeed Alam contributing the team’s highest 32 runs off 72 balls featuring five boundaries.

 

Besides, opener Abrar Rashid (19), Farhan Mahtab (12), Sajjadul Islam (not out 12), Siyam Khan (11) were the other notable scorers for Chandpur reaching the figure.

 

Manon Chakma and Belal Hossain grabbed two wickets each conceding 20 and 28 runs respectively.

 

Women’s Football: Siraj Smrity Sangsad beat FC Brahmanbaria by 5-1 goal

 

In reply, Khagrachari team were bundled out for 85 runs in 45.4 overs with Abdullah Al Nahian scoring 23 runs and Dibbo Dorshi 13 runs.

 

Abdullah Al Fahim grabbed three wickets for six runs.
