A 30-year-old man on a bike and his sister-in-law riding pillion were killed after being hit by a speeding bus on Kashinathpur-Dhaka Road of Pabna on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Forman Ali, 30, son of Ansar Ali of Bera upazila, and her sister-in-law Mahbuba Yeasmin, 25, daughter of Jamal Sheikh of Santhia upazila. Both of them worked with an NGO in Dhaka.
Ashish Mohammad Siddikullah, officer-in-charge of Sathia Police Station, said the accident occurred around 9pm in the Bhitapara area of Santhia upazila.
“The impact of the crash was such that the two died on the spot. The bodies have been kept at the local hospital morgue,” he said.
