Bangladesh Truck-Covered Van and Transport Agency Owners-Workers Unity Council today called off their countrywide indefinite strike from November 6.
The decision was taken after a meeting with Shipping Minister and Road Transport Workers Federation leader Shahjahan Khan at the ministry conference room, a press release said.

Bangladesh Truck Covered Van Owners Association General Secretary Rustom Ali Khan and Bangladesh Truck-Covered Van and Transport Agency Owners-Workers Unity Council Member Secretary Md. Kawsar Ahmed Palash took part in the meeting.
The council called the strike for their 8-point demand including restoring Sayedabad Truck-stand until making any alternative management and giving permission for unloading goods on English Road in the capital Dhaka.
