DHAKA, Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon today said the government will give Taka one lakh each to four dead victim's families of Moulvibazar train accident.
Besides, the families of the injured will get Taka 10,000 each, the minister said this while visiting them at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital.
Probe committee has been formed to investigate the matter Actions will be taken against every irregularity or negligence, said Sujon while replying to a question regarding the investigation progress.
Environment, Forests and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin accompanied the railway minister in the visit.
Four people were killed and more than 100 were injured as the Upaban Express, an intercity train, derailed on a bridge over Borochhera canal in Boromchal area of Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar on 23 June.
