Tk 1cr provided to affected Ahmadiyya families from PM’s fund

PANCHAGARH, March 15, 2023 (BSS) - As many as 206 families of the Ahmadiyya community affected by the recent violence in Panchagarh and Boda upazilas were given Taka one crore as humanitarian aid from the prime minister's fund today.

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan attended the cheque-distribution programme on Salana Jalsa ground at Panchagarh municipality of the district as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner of Panchagarh Md Jahurul Islam in the chair.

Of the families of Ahmadiyya community, 108 families belonged to Panchagarh Sadar upazila while the rest were from the district's Boda upazila.

Under the arrangement of the district administration, the cheques between Taka 4,803 and Tk 5,26,366 were distributed among the victim-families on the occasion.
