The Government has decided to appoint Major General Kazi Sharif Kaikobad, ndc, psc, G as the first resident High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria.
Major General Kaikobad was commissioned in the Corps of Artillery on 21 December 1984. In his long illustrated career, he served as the Instructor of Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) and Artillery Centre and School. He was Brigade Major and Assistant Adjutant General (AAG) at Army Headquarter. He commanded 3xBGB Battalion, 2x Artillery Regiment and 2x Artillery Brigade. He also served as the Managing Director, Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF). He served two UN missions in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ethiopia-Eritria.
Major General Kazi Sharif Kaikobad, ndc, psc, G graduated from Chittagong University. He completed his MDS and MSc (Tech) from National University and M Phil from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). He is married and blessed with a son and a daughter.
