Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh today said the founder of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Swami Vivekananda, believed in non-communal social system.
"Serving the humanity was Swami Vivekananda's only vow....What he envisioned 127 years ago was a non-communal social system, the symbol of the Ramakrishna Mission that he painted with his own hand shows that he believed in non-communal society, nation and world order," he added.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organized on the occasion of the 127th foundation day of Ramakrishna Mission at Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission in the city on Monday, said a press release.
The mayor said, "The sacrifice that Swami Vivekananda has said was fully dedicated for the people."
"Like Swami Vivekanka, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman also worked through his entire life with the ideal of service, his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also has devoted her entire life to the welfare of the country," Taposh said.
