RAJSHAHI, Speakers at a workshop here today laid importance on empowerment of community to check corruption at institutional and individual level.
They also opined that institutional corruptions have to be checked first before taking brining making an individual accountable who is involved in corruption willingly or unwillingly.
ACC Director General Sarwar Mahmud urged all to raise voice against corruption together to fight the long persisting social menace effectively.
ACC Rajshahi divisional office organized the workshop at Deputy Commissioner's conference hall attended by district and upazila level administrative officials and president and general secretary of district and upazila corruption prevention committees.
Addressing the workshop as the chief guest Sarwar Mahmud underlined the need for enhancing empowerment of the community people so that they can raise their voice against corruption.
With Additional Divisional Commissioner Zakir Hossain presided over the function while Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader, ACC Divisional Director Murshed Alam and Deputy Director Jahangir Alam also spoke on the occasion.
Speakers laid importance on making both the government and nongovernment servicedelivery activities transparent and accountable for freeing those from corruption.
