Samrat, Arman jailed for six months each

DHAKA A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today sentenced the recently expelled Dhaka South Jubo League President Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat and his accomplice Arman to six month imprisonment each in separate cases.

Samrat was awarded with imprisonment under Wildlife Preservation and Security Act while Arman got punishment under Narcotics Control Act by Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam.

RAB Headquarters Law and Media Branch Director Lieutenant Colonel Sarwar bin Kashem confirmed it at a press briefing.

Earlier, RAB arrested them from Cumilla district this early morning and later recovered a firearm with five rounds of bullets, 19 bottles of liquor, 1160 Yaba tablets, two skins of Kangaroo, torture equipment and other valuables from Samrat's office in city's Kakrail area.
