Quader greets countrymen on Pahela Baishakh

DHAKA, April 13, 2017 (BSS) - Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today extended Bangla New Year greetings to all people, including his party colleagues and fellows from other like-minded political organizations.

In a statement on the eve of the Bangla New year 1424, Quader said the very essence of the new year celebration by 'Bangalees' had always faded the difference among religions, caste and creeds, and united the entire nation afresh under one umbrella, a secular Bangladesh.

Every year, he said, the traditional Bangla New Year celebration rejuvenates the minds of individuals and groups with fresh hopes and aspirations, and generates a new wave of enthusiasm to march forward.

The year 1424 would also be able to remove differences and unite the nation under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's leadership again, Quader hoped.

The Awami League leader also wished peace, prosperity and happiness for the people of the country.
