Quader asks AL activists to be polite with people

DHAKA, May 21, 2017 (BSS) - Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday urged the party men to be polite in interacting with people and highlight the government achievements and development endevours under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's stewardship.

"Behave well with people . . . explain to them our various development activities to mass people," he told the inaugural session of the AL's extended meeting at Ganabhaban here yesterday.

Quader simultaneously called upon AL leaders and workers to join their hands to gear up party's organisational activities being imbued with its ideology and principles keeping in mind the challenges of the next general elections.

"We will have to be smart, modern, well-organized and united to face the next polls with a target of getting victory," he said.

Quader termed communal forces as the key barrier to country's progress as well as advancement and vowed to accelerate the party activities overcoming such obstacles.

AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the party's extended meeting.

The members of AL central executive committee, advisory council, national council, all district and city units' presidents, general secretaries, office secretaries, deputy office secretaries, publicity and publication secretaries and information and research secretaries, among others, attended the meeting.
