President M Abdul Hamid today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of his Assistant Military Secretary Brigadier General Raju Ahmed's father Md Shahjahan Ali Sarker.
In a message of condolence this evening, the Head of State prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Md Shahjahan Ali Sarker breathed his last at 3.20pm at his residence in Rajshahi at the age of 85.
