PM to induct new leader at Krishak League with clean image: Quader

DHAKA Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will induct new faces with clean image to take helm of the Bangladesh Krishak League.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will induct new leadership with clean image at the helm of Krishak League through the ongoing cleanliness drive, he said while addressing the inaugural session of the 10th national conference of Krishak League at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina spoke at the function as the chief quest.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said Krishak League men must be careful in electing their leaders so that people with clean and transparent image can come to the leadership.

He said the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led government is more farmers-friendly than others in the past.

Sheikh Hasina is the most honest and popular politician, dynamic leader, skilled administrator and successful diplomat, and that is why her development achievements are being lauded across the world, Quader said.

Recalling the contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the country, he said: The best Bangalee of thousand years, Bangabandhu, will remain alive in the hearts of common people forever.

Earlier in the day, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally inaugurated the national conference of Krishak League.

Chaired by Krishak League president Motahar Hossain Molla, the inaugural session of the conference, was addressed, among others, by All India Kisan Sabha general secretary Atul Kumar Anjan. Krishak League joint general secretary Samir Chandra Chanda moderated the function.
