DHAKA, Jan 4, 2017 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock at the death of former minister and ambassador Mostafa Faruque Mohammad.
In a condolence message, the premier recalled invaluable contributions of Mostafa Faruque Mohammad to politics and diplomacy. "The country has lost a dedicated politician and diplomat in his death," she said.
Sheikh Hasina said the people of Jessore will remember with deep gratitude his role in the development of the district.
The prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mostafa Faruque Mohammad, former ICT minister and ex-Awami League lawmaker from Jessore-2 (Jhikargachha-Chowgachha) constituency, died at the United Hospital here tonight at the age of 74.
He was a former member of the Awami League Advisory Council.
