A total of two crore 33 lakh 60 thousand
and 609 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered till Sunday in Rangpur
division where the pandemic situation continues improving in recent times.
Health officials said the Covid-19 vaccination campaign continues
through inoculation of eligible citizens with the first, second and third
doses of Covid-19 jabs in all eight districts of the division.
Citizens are being vaccinated with five types of Covid-19 jabs from
different companies like Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech and
Sinovac across the division.
However, inoculation of citizens with Moderna Covid-19 vaccines is not
continuing for a time being now due to shortage of the jabs.
“Till Sunday, a total of 1,33,37,830 people got the first dose of Covid-
19 jabs, and of them, 94,36,758 got the second dose and 5,86,021 got the
booster dose,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam told BSS
today.
The first dose recipient 1,33,37,830 citizens include 39,29,846
vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 19,75,366 with Pfizer Covid-19
jabs, 52,22,151 people with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,31,876 with Moderna
Covid-19 jabs and 20,78,591 with Sinovac Covid-19 jabs.
The second dose recipient 94,36,758 citizens include 26,86,342 people
inoculated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 16,08,402 with Pfizer Covid-19
jabs, 49,44,077 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,27,554 with Moderna Covid-19
jabs and 94,36,758 with Sinovac Covid-19 jabs.
“Besides, the 5,86,021 booster dose recipients include 5,35,528
vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 47,403 with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs
and 3,090 with Moderna Covid-19 jabs,” Dr. Islam added.
