One more person died of Covid-19 as 44 people were diagnosed positive for the lethal virus during the last 24 hours till this morning in the district.
The deceased person hailed from Gomostapur upazila, sources said.
With the new fatality, the total death toll currently stood at 161 in the district.
Forty four more people were found positive for Covid-19 after testing 94 samples during the time, raising the total caseload to 6071, civil surgeon office sources said.
At present, there are 134 Covid-19 infected patients in the district, the sources said.
Meanwhile, 5,776 patients have recovered from the deadly virus so far here, they added.
