Another female worker, who suffered burn injuries two days back in a gas lighter factory fire at Ashulia, died at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) this morning.
Rokeya Akter Roti, 40, daughter of Torab Khan, who suffered 70 percent burn injuries, succumbed to her injuries at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of the DMCH around 10:40am, hospital and police sources said. She hailed from Baliadhighi village under Gabtali upazila of Bogra district and a resident of Ashulia area.
Two female workers, including Roti, out of 21 admitted to the DMCH died till today. The condition of six others is stated to be critical.
At least 31 workers were injured in the devastating fire that broke out at Colour Match BD Ltd adjacent to Jirabo Bus Stand under Asulia Police Station on Tuesday afternoon.
