DHAKA, May 18, 2017 (BSS) - State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperative, Mashiur Rahman Ranga, MP, said today one lakh children have so far got 13 types of services from the 'Child Help Line' 1098 that was introduced one and a half years back.
"The government is giving financial assistances to street, hazardous, physically challenged and dropped out children under a project to protect their environmental rights," he said while addressing a discussion as the chief guest here.
"A total of 40,000 children in 20 districts are now getting Taka 2,000 each under the project," he also said.
The minister later handed over responsibility of five children to some rich persons of the society at the function.
