Birgunj United Football Club held Lalitpur City Football Club to a draw in the match held today under the Nepal Super League football tournament.
In the match held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar today, Birgunj and Lalitpur both scored 2 goals, to share one point each.
Lalitpur has so far collected 6 points, while it is the first point for Birgunj.
Earlier, Birgunj took the first lead with William Opoku scoring in the 10th minute of the match. However, four minutes later, Eamon Ikeje of Lalitpur returned a goal to bring the match to a 1-1 draw in the 14th minute.
In the 27th minute of the match, Lalitpur’s Nikhil Sureshrao Kadam scored a goal to give his club a 2-1 lead until the first half of the match. However, Birgunj scored the equalizing goal through Kripakant Mahato Tharu in the 52nd minute.
