DHAKA, Dec 23, 2016 (BSS)- Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said the next national election will be held in a free, fair and neutral manner like Thursday's Narayanganj City Corporation polls.
"Next general election will be held under party government as like as NCC polls. The polls will be free and fair," he told newsmen after opening a Kidney Care Unit at a Hospital in Shyamali area in the city.
In the NCC election, Quader said, Awami League election symbol 'Boat' has not only won but also the country's democracy.
"There were concerns among many about the NCC polls but overcoming all doubts the election was held in a free, fair and neutral manner," he said.
Replying to a question, the Awami League general secretary said if BNP now raises any question about the polls, it will be very much ridiculous.
"BNP in the past wanted to make the Election Commission and the polls controversial by making false and baseless allegations. But the people did not believe in their allegations," he said.
