A nephew of slain Kushtia Zilla School teacher Rokshana Khanam confessed to his involvement in the killing of his aunt, said Khairul Alam, superintendent of Kushtia police.

Detectives arrested Nawroz Kabir Nishat, 20, son of late AKM Nur-e-Aslam and a nephew of Rokshana, on Monday night after Rokshana’s husband Mostafizur Rahman filed a murder case against some unidentified people with Kushtia police station.

Nawroz told police that he along with his brother and mother live on the fourth floor of the six-story building owned by Rokshana, said Khairul Alam.
