NC not to attend Gandaki Province assembly meeting

The Nepali Congress has decided not to attend the Gandaki Province Assembly meeting scheduled for Friday. NC's parliamentary party meeting on Thursday took a decision to this regard. The Congress Parliamentary Party, Gandaki Province issued a statement on Thursday, saying that it would not participate in the meeting of the Provincial Assembly nor could support any works of the provincial government until the final hearing of a writ filed in the Supreme Court against announcement of Chief Minister. The NC had filed a petition against the process adopted in the Assembly meeting that declared Khagraj Adhikari the Chief Minister. It has argued that Adhikari obtained the majority votes unconstitutionally while taking the vote of confidence. Source: National News Agency Nepal
