DHAKA - National Board of Revenue (NBR) has started a 'Journey for Revenue' programme to develop close partnership with all taxpayers as part of its move to build a revenue friendly environment across the country.
As part of the move, a 30-member team of Economic Reporters' Forum (ERF) led by the NBR started the journey towards Chittagong today.
The NBR earlier announced the month of February as a month of partnership to strengthen relations with the taxpayers, sad a press release.
NBR chairman Md Nojibor Rahman thanked the ERF members for participating in the journey and said participation of the representatives of mass media in the programme would help make the NBR programme a success.
He said 'Journey for Revenue' of ERF-NBR will continue in the commercial capital Chittagong from February 22-24.
During the programme, the ERF members will take part in dialogues with people concerned and visit customs activities at Chittagong port.
