Nanak said: When the month of August comes, we not only get mourned but also become worried recalling the brutal assassination of Bangabandhu on August 15, 1975.

He said during the BNPJamaat regime, gruesome grenade attacks were carried out attempting to kill the then opposition leader and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and other national leaders of the party on August 21 in 2004.

The antiliberation forces had hatched conspiracy to turn Bangladesh into Pakistan through the grenade attacks, he added.

Now this is our demand that the behind the scene perpetrators of the Bangabandhu killing should be brought to justice, he said.
