Nahid for taking action over SSC’s question leak after inquiry

SYLHET, Feb 14, 2017 (BSS) -Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said steps will be taken after investigating the news of alleged question paper of mathematics test leak in the ongoing SSC examination.

"The examination of mathematics will not be cancelled now relying on the news of question paper leak, but the steps will be taken after scrutinizing the matter," he told the newsmen replying a question at MAG Osmani International Airport in Sylhet.

He also vowed to take stern action against the people responsible for it and those guardians who buy the question papers.

Mentioning the steps have been taken to check leaks, the minister said, "We are trying to find out how and from where are the question papers leaked?"

Saying some suspected persons were arrested in this regard, the Nahid said, "The measurers will be taken after scrutinizing the impact of question papers leak over the examinations".

Holding a section of teachers responsible for it, he said, "The teachers are the ones in whom we can keep confidence, but unfortunately some of them are involved in question papers leak".

Earlier, a syndicate of BG Press was involved in leaking out questions papers, he said.

However, the BG Press syndicate was broken. The question papers are being reached in the districts safely through launching new set system, he said, adding that some teachers are involved now in question papers leak.

Nahid arrived in Sylhet by an air flight this noon and joined in different functions at his constituency in Golapganj and Beanibaza.
