Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed today said the government has increased the monthly disability allowance by Taka 100 - from Taka 750 to Taka 850 in this current fiscal.
The minister said this while responding to a query made by Jatiya Party lawmaker M Mujibul Huq of Kishorganj-3 at the question-answer session which was tabled in the budget session of 2023-24 fiscal at the Jatiya Sangsad with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
The monthly disability allowance under the social security programme has been increased to Taka 850 from the previous amount of Taka 750 in this fiscal (2022-23), said the minister.
