Moderate tremor felt near Myanmar-India border

DHAKA, Mar 4, 2017 (BSS) - A moderate earthquake jolted the Myanmar-India border at 8: 11 am today.

The location of the tremor was Myanmar and India (Monipur) border region while the distance of epicentre was 434 km north-east from Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) seismic centre, Agargaon, Dhaka, said a Met Office press release.

The magnitude of the tremor was 5.1 on the Richter scale, the release added.
