Militant outfit Allahr Dal banned

DHAKA The government has banned activities of militant Islamist outfit Allahr Dal in the country as its activities are deemed to pose a threat to public security.

The activities of militant organization are contrary to the country's peace and discipline, said a gazette notification issued by deputy secretary Mallika Khatun of the home ministry's Public Security Division on Tuesday.

According to the notification, this order will be effective soon.
