DHAKA, May 23, 2017 (BSS) - Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed
Kahn Menon today laid emphasis on increasing flight frequencies between Dhaka and major cities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) like Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah for flourishing tourism potentials of both the brotherly nations.
The minister made the comment while UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Jaded Bin Hajar Al Shehi paid a call on him at his secretariat office here, an official handout said.
During the meeting, the minister expressed hope that the existing trade and commerce relations between the two countries and Bangladesh manpower export to the oil rich Middle East nation will be further increased in the days to come.
Menon also discussed various aspects of the upcoming OIC tourism
ministerial meeting, scheduled to be held in Dhaka in November next.
Referring to the current trend of expanding halal tourism in Middle East, the minister said Bangladesh can also be benefited by initiating halal tourism here.
The minister said exciting package tours and on-arrival visa facilities can attract tourists of both the countries in choosing their destinations.
