Md Golam Sarwar to act as law secretary

DHAKA, Government has given Senior Joint Secretary of Law and Justice Division Md Golam Sarwar the responsibility of the secretary of the division.

Law and Justice Division through an office order dated August 7, gave Sarwar, currently most senior judicial officer at the division, the responsibility of the secretary until further order as tenure of contractual appointment of Abu Saleh Sheikh Md Zahirul Haque ended on Wednesday.

Sarwar joined judicial cadre service through 10th BCS and started his career as probation assistant judge at Dhaka District Judge Court on December 11, 1991.

In 1998 he got promoted as senior assistant judge, joint district and session judge in 2003, additional district and session judge in 2007 and district and session judge in 2015, Law Ministry sources said.

He has observed his duty as a judge in Dhaka, Chattogram, Feni, Noakhali and Kishorganj.

Md Golam Sarwar is working as joint secretary of Law and Justice Division from December, 2015.
