DHAKA, April 9, 2017 (BSS) - Malaysian entrepreneurs today expressed keen interest to invest in agriculture and food processing, pharmaceutical, energy and infrastructure sectors in Bangladesh.
"The visiting delegation of Malaysian investors expressed satisfaction over the investment friendly environment in the country," said a statement issued by Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) here.
A 35-memebr Malaysian investors' delegation led by YB Malcolm Mussen Lamoh, assistant minister for agriculture and rural economy modernization affairs of Sarawak Province, met with high officials of BIDA at the authority's board room in the city.
The team observed that Bangladesh government is trying to push up Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) by providing different opportunities, including low price land, electricity and chief labour.
Among others, BIDA's Executive Member Nabhash Chandra Mandal and Director Tauhidur Rahman Khan were present during the meeting.
