A case has been filed against two men at Kashimpur Police Station in Gazipur for allegedly raping a madrasa student inside a school.
Victim’s mother filed the case accusing Samrat Hossain alias Shanto and Shakil Ahmmed, staff of a ceramic company in the area, on Thursday morning, said Md Rafiqul Islam, inspector (investigation).
According to the case statement, the girl lives in the area with her parents. On Wednesday noon, when her parents were at their work, the girl went outside the house.
The two men forcibly picked her up to a local school and raped her.
Locals rescued the girl hearing her screams. The rape suspects are on the run.
The girl was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital.
Bangladesh has been rocked by a series of rape incidents in recent days, triggering countrywide protests.
Human rights organisation Ain-o-Salish Kendra (ASK) said between January and September this year nearly 1,000 rape cases were reported, including 208 gang rapes.
