Limited damage during ‘Amphan’ due to PM’s leadership: Info Minister

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mamud on Friday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s firm leadership helped limit the losses during super cyclone Amphan.

He made the remark while addressing a programme organised to distribute coronavirus protective gears among journalists at the Awami League Chief’s political office in Dhanmondi.

“Whenever there’s a disaster in the country, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina passes sleepless nights. There was no exception in the case of Amphan as she had monitored the situation throughout the night. Her firm leadership made it possible to limit the damages,” he said.
