LGRD minister leaves for Jordan, Egypt to talk climate issues

DHAKA, April 2, 2017 (BSS) - Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain left here last night (Saturday) for the Jordanian capital of Amman to hold talks on climate change issues.

The minister is leading a four-member delegation to Jordan and Egypt, an official release said here today.

Khandaker Mosharraf will discuss climate change related issues with Jordanian Environment Minister and high officials from April 3 to 5.

Later, the minister will join a conference on "Global Warming and Climate Change" in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, on April 7, according to the release.

The other members of the delegation are Local Government Division Secretary Abdul Malek, LGRD Minister's Personal Secretary Muhammad Ibrahim and Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Project Director Md. Motiar Rahman.

Khandaker Mosharraf is scheduled to return home on April 9, the release added.
