Language movement hero Dr Ali Asgar passes away

DHAKA, April 1, 2017 (BSS) - Renowned physician and one of the organizers of liberation war Dr M Ali Asgar passed away due to old-age complications. He was 87.

Asgar, also a language movement hero, breathed his last at 01:30 am on Friday at a city hospital, said a press release.

He is survived by son Ali Ahsan Babu, a cricket organizer and Director Marketing and Sales (acting) of Biman and daughter Dr Humaira to mourn his death.

His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Zohar prayers today and laid to rest at Banani graveyard.
