Khaleda out to create controversy over EC: Hanif

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif today said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia wanted to create controversy over the formation of Election Commission as part of her new conspiracy.

"Losing confidence in people, BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is now out to make new issue by giving misleading proposal of formation of Election Commission," he told a reception in front of Awami League office at Bangabandhu Avenue.

Dhaka City South Sramik League accorded the reception to Habibur Rahman Siraj for his election as Labour Affairs Secretary of Awami League Central Working Committee for the fourth time.

Hanif said BNP demanded to deploy army in the Narayanganj City Corporation polls to create controversy over EC and the people of the country will never allow Khaleda Zia to make her ill intention successful.

"The countrymen will stay with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and they will cast their votes for Awami League again in the next election," he said.

The Awami League leader said BNP will continue to hatch conspiracy against the state till existence of the party.

"We have to advance the country thwarting BNP's all sorts of conspiracies," he said.

Hanif said military ruler Ziaur Rahman formed BNP illegally by grabbing state power and this ill force is the enemy of the people.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Abdur Rahman, Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and Jatiya Sramik League Executive President Fazlul Haque Mantu and general secretary Sirajul Islam addressed the function with Dhaka City South Sramik League President in the chair.
