Khaleda makes caretaker govt controversial: Nasim

DHAKA, Dec 28, 2016 (BSS) - Awami League Presidium Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim yesterday said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has made the caretaker government system controversial so next national election will be held under the incumbent government.

"National election is held under elected government in the whole world. So, the next general election of Bangladesh will also held under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he told the inaugural ceremony of 8th congress of Samyabadi Dal at Mahanagar Natyamanch.

About the constitution of Election Commission (EC), Nasim, also

spokesman of 14-party alliance, said the alliance will accept the decision that will be taken by President Abdul Hamid after holding dialogues with all political parties over the formation of EC.

The minister said BNP always create controversies over any good task. "When the country is moving ahead, BNP is out to hatch conspiracy to misguide the people about the development activities taken by the government," he said adding that making all achievement of the incumbent government controversial has become BNP chief's main job now.

About the Narayanganj City Corporation polls, Nasim said the defeated candidate in the polls also stated that the election was held in a free, fair and neutral manner.

"But BNP is making misleading remakes reputedly over the NCC polls. It is their old habit," Nasim said.
