A fire that broke out at the capital’s Kalyanpur slum on Sunday was completely doused after two hours.
The blaze started around 8:50 pm at the number 9 slum near Notun Bazar, said Md Shahjahan Shikdar, Deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Fourteen firefighting units managed to douse the flames around 11:15 pm, he said.
No casualties were reported yet ant the cause of fire can be identified after an investigation, he added.
