Kalabagan club president remanded again in narcotics case

DHAKA A court here today placed Kalabagan Krira

Chakra Club President Shafiqul Alam Feroz on a three day remand in a case

lodged under narcotics control act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Mohammad Noman passed the order

as RAB 2 sub inspector and investigation officer (IO) Jasim Uddin produced

the accused before the court and pleaded to place him on a 10 day remand in

the case.

Earlier on September 30, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atikul Islam

placed Feroz on five day fresh remand in a case lodged over possessing

illegal arms.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Mahmuda Akter on September 21 placed

Feroz on a total of 10 day remand in two cases lodged over possessing illegal

arms and narcotics.

He was remanded five day in arms case and five day in narcotics case as

Dhanmandi police produced him before the court and pleaded to put him on a

total of 20 day remand in the two cases.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) filed the two cases against Feroz on

September 21 with Dhanmandi Police Station.

The elite crime busting agency members seized new type of yaba tablets

from Feroz. The yellow color yaba has no particular smell, making it a

significant discovery for the agency.

A foreign made pistol was also recovered from the club along with three

bullets. Coins, scorecards, which are usually used in a casino, were also

recovered from the club with 572 packets of playing cards.
