DHAKA, Jan 24, 2017 (BSS) - The government has made jute bags mandatory for packaging of 11 more products under the Mandatory Jute Packaging Act 2010 to further enhance the use of jute goods.
The government issued a circular on January 21 in this regard, said an official release here today.
The newly-added commodities for which the use of jute bags is mandatory are - onion, ginger, garlic, pulses, potato, flour, chili, turmeric, coriander seeds, rice bran and wheat.
With the order, use of jute bag is now compulsory in a total of 17
