Dhaka: The Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) and KAICOM Co. Ltd., a Dhaka-based IT services and consulting firm, have signed a software development agreement aimed at improving the registration process for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). The signing ceremony took place today at the JUAAB office in the capital.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, JUAAB President and National University Treasurer, Prof Dr. A. T. M. Zafrul Azam, and KAICOM Founder and CEO, Anjan Das, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The agreement is expected to provide technological support to streamline the JLPT registration, making it more accessible and efficient for Japanese language learners in Bangladesh.
The event was attended by former JUAAB President Professor Dr. Mohammad Khorshed Alam, Senior Vice President Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Khan, Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, along with other executive committee members of JUAAB and officials from KAICOM.
JUAAB, a non-political and social organization, comprises Bangladeshi professionals who have acquired undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Japan. Members are engaged in various educational and research institutions as well as government and private organizations across Bangladesh. JUAAB is tasked with promoting Japanese language education and cultural exchange between Japan and Bangladesh.
In collaboration with the Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, JUAAB has been organizing the JLPT. The newly signed agreement is anticipated to enhance the registration process, thereby facilitating smoother access for candidates preparing for the JLPT in Bangladesh.
