Prime Minister's Information and Technology (IT) Affairs Adviser and Awami League Councilor Sajib Wajed Joy today said it is not right to hold a party position staying abroad.
"I want to work for the party and the country," he said replying to a question from journalists while visiting Awami League research cell Centre for Research and Information (CRI) stall at party's national council at Suhrawardi Udyan in the city.
Joy said he does not want to assume any party position at this moment but wants to work for the party from outside.
Joy attended the AL council for the second day today. The AL leaders were excited at having the Prime Minister's son in their midst.
In their speeches, many of the leaders demanded induction of the grandson of Bangabandhu into the new committee of the party.
Responding to their demand, AL chief Sheikh Hasina said, "Joy is already in an important position" (as her adviser).
