Japan donates 141 Judo Tatami Mats to Judo Federation

DHAKA, Dec 26, 2016 (BSS) - All Japan Judo Federation in cooperation with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha and Shunan City in Yamaguchi Prefecture has donated 141 Judo tatami mats to Bangladesh Judo Federation.

The mats were handed over to Bangladesh Judo Federation at a simple ceremony at Sultana Kamal Mahila Complex in city's Dhanmondi area today, according to a Japanese embassy press release.

These mats are expected to be of help to talented boys and girls at Bangladesh Judo Federation in line with the commitment of the Government of Japan to "Sport for Tomorrow Programme" paving the way for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympics Games.

Expecting that these Judo practitioners may become respectable and

disciplined leaders with healthy minds and bodies, the embassy wishes all the best to Bangladesh Judo Federation in bringing out their maximum potential and gaining success in national and international arenas, the release added.
