Islami Bank declares 10% cash dividend

The Islami Bank Bangladesh has recommended a 10 percent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year ended on December 31, 2021.

The decision came at the company’s board of directors’ meeting Tuesday, with Islami Bank Chairman Professor Md Nazmul Hassan in the chair.

However, the final decision on the dividend will be made at the 39th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Islami Bank on June 21, 2022.

The record date for the distribution of the declared dividend has been fixed as May 26, 2022.

The meeting also adopted unaudited financial statements for the first quarter ended on March 31, 2022.

The Islami Bank is a joint venture public limited company engaged in commercial banking business based on Islamic shariah. It is listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange.
